This NEW plug-in circuit breaker ships READY TO INSTALL with a S293xx __v shunt trip module installed and fit with 18" long #18AWG MTW wire leads. SHUNT TRIPS CAN BE MOUNTED ON EITHER THE LEFT HAND OR RIGHT HAND POLES WITH THE LEADS EXITING THE SIDE OF THE FRAME. WIRE LEADS CANNOT EXIT THE REAR OR BREAKER FACE. BE SURE TO TELL OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE RH OR LH MOUNT. These leads can be easily laid across the side of the frame for rear connection without interfering with an adjacent mounted breaker. The shunt trip will have been tested prior to shipment to assure proper performance. This value-added assembly eliminates the need to field install the leads and saves on installation time.
A shunt trip device is an OPTIONAL accessory in a circuit breaker that mechanically trips the breaker when power is applied to the shunt trip terminals. The power for the shunt trip does not come from within the breaker, so it must be supplied from a SEPARATELY WIRED external source SUCH AS AN EMERGENCY STOP PUSH BUTTON OR A FORM C CONTACT CLOSURE IN A CIRCUIT FROM A FIRE PROTECTION SENSING DEVICE.
